Earlier this year I had a chat with the ladies at Living Libations about my two years of dealing with hyper-pigmentation on my forehead, breakouts and uneven skin tone.
I’m already a big fan of Living Libations and I’ve been using their Zippity DewDab, Rose Glow Face Mist and Cell Serum; so I was pleased when they decided to come to my rescue by sending me their Green Papaya + Lime AHA Mask as well as their Rosemary Reset Powder to try.
Living Libations Green Papaya + Lime AHA Mask
I’m not sure if Living Libations Green Papaya + Lime AHA Mask was available back in 2006 but if it had been and I was more informed, I surely would have gone down that route than going down the path of having a chemical face peel which had left my face feeling sore and raw for days.
My first experience using Nadine’s Green Papaya + Lime AHA Mask was seriously divine. After massaging the mask onto my face, I could feel a slight heat and tingling sensation.
It wasn’t an uncomfortable feeling as it gently exfoliated my skin and thirty minutes after leaving this enzyme enriched face mask on, with its antioxidant properties as well as vitamins and minerals, I cleansed my skin; leaving my face feeling soft and moisturised.
My mature combination sensitive skin loved all the attention and because the Green Papaya + Lime AHA Mask from Living Libations is gentle on the skin, I am able to use the mask at least twice a week.
I was very surprised that I only needed to apply 2-3 pumps of this wonder mask on my face and neck.
On a few occasions I had left Living Libations Green Papaya + Lime AHA Mask on my face overnight and have rinsed it off well next morning. I was so delighted to see how radiant my skin looked.
Green Papaya + Lime AHA Mask Ingredients:
Organic rosewater, herbal extracts of horsetail, comfrey root, red clover, jojoba, AHA of lemon, lime, raw cane sugar, papaya and pineapple enzymes, orange wax, essential oils of lavender, lemon and lime, sage and rosemary antioxidants.
Living Libations Rosemary Reset Powder
I had been plagued with white heads on my forehead for the past few months and found out that the two main reasons for the whitehead outbreak were:
- Blocked pores from hormonal changes which not only can cause whiteheads but also may be a reason for acne and
- An increase in the amount of sebum (oil) which causes clogged pores and in turn produces whiteheads.
In the past few weeks I’ve noticed a marked improvement in my skin since using Rosemary Reset Powder from Living Libations. I’ve less whiteheads now and I know from the continual use of this wonderful mask, I’ll be whitehead free.
Rosemary extract has antimicrobial and antiseptic properties and great for the treatment of acne, eczema, pimples and any sebum (oil) imbalances in the skin of the face.
The activated charcoal in Rosemary Re-Set Powder readily helps with the absorption of the antioxidant enriched Rosemary extract.
Rosemary Reset Powder Ingredients:
Supercritical CO2 extraction of Rosemary,
Pyrophyllite clay to detoxify,
Pearl nacre to regenerate,
Activated charcoal to purify, and;
Aluminium Free Sodium bicarbonate to exfoliate.
Living Libations Zippity DewDab
“Zippity DewDab Zippity Yay,
My oh my what a wonderful day!”
The pure undiluted essential oils of Blue Tansy, Carrot Seed, Immortelle, Niaouli, Rosemary and Thyme Linalool in this little ‘gem’ of Living Libations help to combat blemishes and acne.
I had a zit (pimple) right between my eyebrows and just after a couple of days of dabbing the Zippity DewDab neat on that pimple, it dried up and was no more.
Zippity DewDab Ingredients:
Niaouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia viridiflora) – Anti-bacterial properties.
Carrot Seed (Daucus carota) – To help regenerate,
Immortelle (Helichrysum italicum) – Contains soothing properties,
Rosemary (Rosmarinus verbenone) – For lymph stimulation,
Blue Tansy (Tanacetum annum) – Anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial support as well as;
Thyme Linalool (Thymus officinalis linalool) – Contains anti-microbial properties
Living Libations Rose Glow Complexion Mist
I’ve been using Rose Glow Complexion Mist since late last year and I love it. It smells incredible.
I spritz it over my face to awaken my spirits or use it as a preparation in my next skincare step.
The first round of steam-distilled Bulgarian Rose Petals formulates the essence of this lovely Rose Hydrosol mist; infusing it with Rose Otto, Immortelle, Lavender, Sandalwood and Carrot Seed.
Rose Otto helps to gain the skins elasticity; Immortelle is a powerful anti-ager; Lavender as well as Sandalwood are anti-inflammatories which soothe the skin and Carrot Seed helps to heal the skin while balancing the complexion.
Living Libations Cell Serum
Towards the end of last year I bought Living Libations Cell Serum and even though I only used 1-2 drops, I found that with the addition of cinnamon essential oil it was too stimulating for my face.
Fast forward a few months and that bottle of Cell Serum was begging me to give it another try.
So after cleansing and toning I decided to blend one drop of Cell Serum with one drop of Australian Sandalwood Nut Oil in the palm of my hand and applied this mix onto my face and neck.
Eureka! Even though I felt a slight heat sensation, it was not an uncomfortable experience.
I eventually increased the amount of Cell Serum to 2 drops with one drop of Sandalwood Nut Oil and I had no adverse reaction.
I’ve been alternating between using Living Libations Cell Serum with Sandalwood Nut Oil on my face morning and evening and using Living Libations Green Papaya + Lime AHA Mask at night.
The results are amazing:
1. My skin tone has evened out so much more.
2. Those annoying little bumps are slowly going away.
3. The hyper-pigmentation has been fading on my forehead.
4. My face feels even softer than when I was in my teens!
5. The fine lines on my forehead are less noticeable.
Cell Serum Organic Ingredients:
Cumin seed, broccoli seed, jojoba oils, with MSM infused into seabuckthorn berry, frankincense, cinnamon, chamomile, lavender, turmeric, and immortelle.
CELL SERUM TO THE RESCUE:
Over a year ago I hurt one of my big toes and it never properly healed. The bruising underneath the nail didn’t fade and the nail wasn’t growing out as it should have.
I knew if I had of gone to the doctors he/she would have wanted to remove the nail. No way was I going to let them jab a needle in my toe.
Then just before I started to use the Cell Serum, I had hurt my other big toe. Go figure!
These two big toes of mine were a sight for sore eyes and so I wore closed in shoes.
One night when I was mixing the Cell Serum with the Sandalwood Nut Oil, I decided to apply the Cell Serum neat on the nail and around the cuticle of my toes.
Each night for a week, just before going to bed, I used 2 drops of Cell Serum on each toe and massaged it into the toe nails and cuticles. Then I put organic cotton socks on to let my feet breathe.
I noticed the bruising under my toe nails were gradually fading and the toe nails were starting to regrow.
It was a huge relief to see an improvement with my toe nails in such a short space of time from using Cell Serum.
I reckon over the next 2-4 months my toes should be back sporting a new toe nail each.
Australian Sandalwood Nut Oil
Sandalwood Nut Oil is great for moisturising the skin and helps to soften the scalp and hair; taming frizzy hair and therefore making the hair feel softer and smoother.
This anti-aging nut oil can be used as is or blended with another massage oil.
Any aches and pains I had in my back were lessened when my mother massaged Sandalwood Nut Oil into my back for only a few minutes.
I feel that a carrier oil such as Sandalwood Nut Oil would blend well with Living Libations Feeling the Shoulder of the Lion Balm MuscleMelt. Just a drop of each would work a treat for muscle aches and pains as well. However, I’ve yet to try it.

Please note: A poor diet, drinking not enough pure water, stress and exposure to environmental toxins are just some of the reasons why you may be experiencing breakouts and acne. So while you are treating the outside of your skin remember it’s also an internal job as well.
