Mokosh Face Treatment Superfood Nourishing for the Skin

February 11, 2014 By Erin Singh Leave a Comment

As the largest organ of your body the skin needs all the help it can get.

Almost every nutrient has a role in maintaining healthy skin.  So the type of nutrition you feed your body from inside out also applies to the kind of nourishment you apply on your skin.

Marion O’Leary, founder of Mokosh, knows how to get the best out of nature.  Her preservative-free certified organic “Nourishing Face Treatment” is a superfood loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and a multitude of phytonutrients which are believed to be beneficial to human health; aiding in the prevention of various diseases.

Mokosh Nourishing Face Treatment

I feel as in powder form, this extremely concentrated formula of Rosehip, Kakadu Plum, Acai Berry, Aloe Vera, Gotu Kola, Olive Leaf and Wheatgrass would have a profound effect on living tissue.

I could detect a berry aroma after opening the jar of Mokosh Nourishing Face Treatment.  As instructed, I mixed the powder with Pure Hydrosol Toner to make a paste then applied it on my face as well as my mother’s.

Every few minutes I spritzed our faces with the Hydrosol Toner to keep the face treatment slightly moist as Marion suggested.  After 20 minutes we rinsed our faces well with tepid (slightly warm) water then patted our faces dry.  It was so invigorating and we were very pleased in how soft and smooth our faces felt.

The face treatment did not stop there.  Spraying our faces again with Pure Hydrosol Toner, I applied 3 drops of Mokosh Natural Face Oil for Normal Skin on our faces; making sure to spread the face oil to the neck area.  Alternatively, you could also use Mokosh Rich Face Cream or Mokosh Light Face Moisturiser.

For those of you on the go, why not spoil yourself and your friends to a weekly spa session in the privacy of your own home?  Treat your face to real sustenance (nourishment) that it needs!

If you haven’t already tried Mokosh products, I would suggest to try their travel sizes. That way you can decide which of Mokosh skin care products you like the best.

You can read about mine and my mother’s experiences in using Mokosh Face Cleansing Powder, Pure Hydrosol and Natural Face Oils here.

Where to Order

Marion O’Leary says:

“The major difference between our products and others is that ours are water-free, which is part of our ‘purity’ stance. Standard moisturisers contain up to 80% water, which is added to dilute the moisturising oils in the cream, to give it a ‘lighter’ feel.

The water content does not moisturise the skin, it evaporates later, leaving a thin cover of oil which is the moisturising part of the cream. Unfortunately, the presence of water means preservatives and emulsifiers must also be added – preservatives to prevent the growth of microbes, and emulsifiers to allow the water and oil to mix.

We don’t add water to our moisturisers or cleanser, and so do not need to add preservatives or the other synthetic ingredients required when water is included in the formula. As a result, our products are undiluted, and up to 5 times the concentration of standard skin care. They are also completely free of preservatives and other synthetic ingredients.”

Have you tried Mokosh? I would love to know what you think.
