Balancing Shampoo for All Hair Types
Two of the ingredients in Living Nature’s hair shampoo are Kelp extract and Kumerahou flower/leaf extract.
Kelp provides nourishment for your hair follicles while anti-microbial Kumerahou gently cleanses your hair and scalp.
The natural foaming agent comes from the Kumerahou shrub’s leaves and flowers. Kumerahou, native to New Zealand, is dubbed as the World’s most natural soap.
My mother and I loved the unique scent of this naturally balanced hair shampoo. Our hair and scalp felt well cleansed. No irritation whatsoever.

Balancing Conditioner for All Hair Types
Condition your hair with the ingredients of active manuka honey and natural fruit extracts which have been added in Living Nature’s hair conditioner.
Active Manuka Honey is an antioxidant and has antibacterial, antimicrobial and antiviral properties.
Natural Fruit Extracts help to renew and repair the skin by dissolving dead skin cells from the surface of the skin which helps the skin to retain moisture. The health-promoting vitamins of natural fruit extracts also provide protection.
The very mild uncommon scent of this hair conditioner made my hair and my mother’s hair very soft and manageable.

Q & A with Living Nature
Eco Beauty Reviews: Does Living Nature use ‘wildcrafted honey’ in their hair care formulations?
Living Nature: Yes, the honey Living Nature uses comes from bee hives in the wild.
Commercial Shampoos and Conditioners
The harsh reality of most commercial shampoos and conditioners has to do with the type of ingredients they are made from.
One ingredient in particular is Tetrasodium EDTA. It’s a preservative made from Formaldehyde (a toxic chemical known to cause cancer) and Sodium Cyanide (made from the toxic gas hydrogen cyanide).
Sodium Cyanide itself may cause the thyroid gland to enlarge as well as being able to damage the nervous system and cause changes in the blood cell count.
What’s even most alarming is the fact that Tetrasodium EDTA breaks down the epidermis; the skin’s protective barrier. With the outermost layer of the skin being compromised, it would allow other harmful ingredients in the shampoo/conditioner to be absorbed deeply into your tissues; and possibly into your bloodstream.
Did you know?
Dandruff has been blamed on a myriad of causes; including dry skin, oily skin, too much or too little hair washing, diet, or stress.
However, the real cause of dandruff is actually a yeast-like fungus called Malassezia globosa which lives on your scalp; feeding on skin oils.
Baby’s cradle cap on the other hand may be caused by the same fungal infection or an over-active sebaceous gland which secretes a lubricating oily matter (sebum) into the hair follicles to lubricate the skin and hair.
